Summer Fun

Our summer has been full of adventures. Here are some things we've done:

We went to the shore - Ocean City.

We went to the shore...again. My mom, the kids, and I met my cousin, Alex, and her two kids, Francois and Johan at Point Pleasant for the day.

Meili and Isaac went swimming...in balls...

We've seen ALL the BYU games this season (yes, that's a laptop at the dinner table)! Go BYU!!

Meili's First (and hopefully only) Hospital Stay

Last week we had a little scare with Meili. She was having trouble breathing so we called a nurse (at 11:00 at night - of course these things happen on the weekends and after hours), who told us to call an ambulance immediately - yikes! So after 5 hours in the ER of the nearest hospital, we were transferred to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. After the doctors examined her, they finally let us go to sleep - at 5:30 in the morning! She was diagnosed with bronchiolitis and needed to be monitored until she started to get better. After two days of recovery and monitoring (aka, catching up on sleep) they finally sent us home. In the meantime, we mostly dozed and ate hospital food, with the occasional interruption of the nurse. Here are a few shots of the experience.

Jedi Combat on a Rainy Day

Rainy days are sometimes difficult with an energetic 3-year old, so we had to be a little creative. All you need are soft pool noodles, turned into light sabers, and a bag of ball-pit balls and you've got yourself a game of Jedi Combat.
