Potty Training Diaries

We have recently been attempting to potty train Isaac - it's been more of a passive-effort type thing and we figure we'll get there eventually, but what's the rush? We bought Isaac some Disney-themed underwear, which he is so excited about (he picked them out himself). While I was folding laundry, he helped himself to a pair of Buzz Lightyear undies, which he put on his head. Don't ask me where he got that one from (ahem...Marshall). When I finally got him to sit still enough to put them on, he immediately ran all over the house like a crazy kid yelling, "Buzz Lightyear underwear!" I tried to get a shot of him that wasn't blurry, but to no avail.

Fight! Fight! Fight!

Most everything that Isaac does reminds me that he is ALL boy! Today while we were getting dinner ready, Isaac decided to instigate a fight with Meili. He has a foam alphabet mat in his room, and the border makes the perfect gun or sword (whichever Isaac is in the mood for). He loves to swing them around and make sound effects to go along, especially if he has someone else to fight with. So, he brought Meili a sword and began chanting, "Fight! Fight! Fight!" Then he decided he wanted them to be guns, so he told Meili, "No, Meili, like this!" and showed her how to properly hold the "gun". It was too cute.

Kitchen Remodel

Over Christmas break we remodeled our kitchen. Jennie's mom and step-dad flew in and helped out a lot (we couldn't have done it without them). We aren't quite finished yet, but some people are requesting a preview, so here are some before and after pics. (I'll fix the layout later, but I thinks it's pretty obvious which are the before and which are the after.)
