Halloween and Fall Pillow Covers

I found this pattern online for making covers for pillows that I'm so excited about! I've already made at least five of them. I like that I can cover a pillow I already have and only have to store the cover instead of an entire pillow - I'll definitely be making these for Christmas, too!

Lemonade Stand

We were picking lemons from the tree in our yard when Isaac decided it was a time for a lemonade stand. He insisted on having one today and insisted that each cup cost $1.00, which is at least twice what a cup of lemonade from a lemonade stand should cost :).

Since no one ever drives down our street, I sent a text to a few people we know that live close by to let them know we would be outside with some lemonade if they wanted to stop by. I found out later that Isaac had gotten on my phone and texted to everyone "1$" to let them know the price. Even though I was a little embarrassed about my child over-charging for lemonade, we had a delightful afternoon chatting with friends and enjoying the beautiful fall weather!

First Day of School

Ian Turns Two

Last night on the eve of Ian's birthday, Meili came up to me and said, "When I wake up, can I tip toe into Ian's room to see if he got larger?" Although he didn't grow in size, he did grow in years. 

To celebrate his exciting day, we had a little Elmo party! Both of Ian's grandmas were able to join in on the fun.

All in all, it was a great success!

One Week Old

I just love having a newborn, and it makes me sad to think that it's already been a week, because that week turns into months and then years... But, I shouldn't get ahead of myself.
