My friend, Stephanie, made these adorable cupcakes for me! The kids went crazy over Elmo and the Cookie Monster.
Today I woke up to a delicious breakfast: German pancakes, bacon, my favorite cereal, orange juice - all things we hardly ever have! Then I took a nice long shower and took my time getting ready for whatever I wanted to do that day, which included going to the mall, taking a nap, watching my favorite show - Psych, going out to lunch, and talking to my favorite people on the phone who called to wish me Happy Birthday (I kind of suspect that Marshall had something to do with that)! Half way through the day I realized that the only thing wrong with it was that now I'm 27! But since I got to spend the entire day with Marshall and the crew, I quickly forgot or at least didn't seem to care as much. For my birthday, Marshall made me a poster with the pictures of six potential birthday gifts, of which I could pick one. He also took care of the kids all day, made a scrumptious grilled salmon dinner, and gave me some fancy tongs (which I've been asking for for a long time) and tickets to see the new
Jane Eyre movie that just came out. I wish everyday was my birthday!
I got to choose between a shopping spree at the mall, a shed, a trip to Texas, a Wii, a Bosch mixer, or an iPad. It was a tough decision that took me all day to make. But after much deliberating, I picked the iPad!
Isaac was in charge of getting himself ready - he wanted to look just like daddy!
This is their model pose.
At the mall, I went into the Apple store to look at the iPad2. Since the kids couldn't be trusted in the store, Marshall kept them outside while I browsed. When I looked through the window to see how things were going with them, this is what I found.
